Our People’s Library: Poster-Making Workshop
The Cohort of the 2025 Zeitz MOCAA and University of the Western Cape (UWC) Museum Fellowship Programme invites you to join Our People's Library: Poster-Making Workshop on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. This workshop explores the power of posters as instruments of resistance, inspired by the radical visual language found in many African liberation movements including the Mayibuye Archives and the Dumile Feni posters featured in the exhibition Spring Is Rebellious: The Art & Life of Albie Sachs. Rooted in the spirit of Spring Is Rebellious, the session invites participants into an active art-making process that reflects today’s political landscape.
We engage with ideas of collectivity via translation, mediation, and education. By shifting from singular macro-narratives to collaborative practices, we open space for diverse perspectives, echoing the themes of Spring Is Rebellious: The Art & Life of Albie Sachs.
This workshop is designed as an interactive platform for public expression, encouraging participants to create, reflect, and connect through poster-making.
This workshop is presented in collaboration with the Zeitz MOCAA BMW Centre for Art Education.
