The tour will focus on artworks that are re-interpretation of the African Mask or the masking ceremony, replacing old stereotypes with contemporary narratives. Cyrus Kabiru (Kenya), Leonce Raphael Agbodjélou (Benin), Mohau Modisakeng (South Africa) and Wangechi Mutu (Kenya).
Please note this will be a training tour and young curators will lead the tour as part of their training.
