Date & Time

19 June 21 - 19 June 21

10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Drawing inspiration from winter and the nature themed artworks in the Home Is Where The Art Is exhibition, the Winter Printmaking Family Learning Workshop offers parents and children the opportunity to play, explore and develop their engagement with art together.

Winter can be cold, dark and wet, but it can also be plenty of fun for children. Wrapped up all warm with their wellies on, children love splashing in puddles and trampling through mud. Nature in winter is beautiful. The colours change, the trees are bare, there are leaves on the ground, and the light is soft.

Working with the theme of nature in winter, the parents/ guardians and children will learn various printmaking techniques. They will each create their own prints built in layers using different methods with the materials and equipment provided.

The Family Learning Workshops enable adults and children to share a creative experience, work collaboratively and learn together.

Children enter for free and must be accompanied by an adult. Admission for members is free.

Annual membership is R290. Admission for non-members is R210 for a single entry ticket. Membership available online here.
