Inspired by Mandela Day and Nigerian-born, British artist, Mary Evans’ use of paper-based materials and her installation, Recollective Plates, currently on view in her solo exhibition GILT, on level 1 at Zeitz MOCAA, the July Family Learning Workshop participants will create their own commemorative plate to honour their legend and hero.
Zeitz MOCAA’s Family Learning Workshops at the Centre for Art Education (CFAE) enable parents/guardians and their children to share a creative experience and develop their engagement with art, together. Materials and equipment are provided along with a snack break.

Venue: Centre for Art Education (CFAE), Level -1
Participants must make their way down to the Centre for Art Education (CFAE) on level -1 of the museum by 10.10 am. The workshop will begin promptly at 10.15 am with a visit to the artworks, where applicable.
Cost:
Children enter for free and must be accompanied by an adult.
