Inspired by the two large aerial photographs by Luvuyo Equiano Nyawose in the recently opened
Indigo Waves: Re-Navigating the Afrasian Seas and Notions of Diaspora exhibition at Zeitz MOCAA, the Family Learning Workshop this month will introduce children and their parents/guardians to perspective, aerial photography and abstraction. Participants will experiment with aerial photography using their phone cameras and select a photo to work from to create an abstract artwork.
Run by Amy Cornfield, the Family Learning Workshops enable parents/guardians and their children to share a creative experience and develop their engagement with art together. Materials and equipment are provided along with a snack break.
