Inspired by Togo artist El Loko, whose work Cosmic Alphabet adorns the glass floor on level 6 of Zeitz MOCAA, parents/guardians and their children are invited to attend a Family Learning Workshop where they will learn the technique of frottage (making rubbings) and create their own symbols. These symbols will act as a creative intention of what they want themselves or their family to represent.
Materials and equipment will be provided, along with a juice, coffee/tea and biscuit break.
Run by Amy Cornfield, the Family Learning Workshops enable parents/guardians and children to share a creative experience and learn and develop their engagement with art together.
