Family Learning Visual Art Workshop

Mar 1, 2019

The Centre for Art Education at Zeitz MOCAA invites families with children between 3 and 8 to our Family Learning Workshop on Saturday, 2 March 2019 at 11 a.m.

Themed on the concept of “The City and the Sea”, this workshop will begin with a narrated story. Inspired by the story, participating children and adults will individually and collectively construct elements of an imaginary world that, like the V & A Waterfront, is about the edge of a city near the sea.

Please note that RSVP is essential. Click here to secure your place.  Children with Special Educational Needs are welcome. There will be a juice and biscuit break during the course of the workshop.

The Centre for Art Education is a space for the development of  educational and enrichment programmes for all. This accessible platform provides the tools and language for the appreciation of artistic practice from Africa and its Diaspora.

Working closely with the other Centres at Zeitz MOCAA, and other educational institutions in the surrounding communities, the Centre for Art Education is responsible for a well-rounded, multi-faceted programme, designed to accommodate the needs of all.

The Centre is an environment which encourages in-depth open discussion; multilingualism; and intercultural understanding through an expansive programme of workshops, lectures, seminars, panel discussions, and guided tours.
