Between Languages: Talk with Sepideh Mehraban, Olivié Keck & Kathy Robins

Jan 15, 2019

Join us for an open discussion with the artists, Sepideh Mehraban; Olivié Keck; and Kathy Robins  as they discuss their VR experience work,  Between Homes, Between Forms, Between Languages  (2018), featured in the exhibition, The Main Complaint. The artists will be joined by gaming developers from Free Lives gaming studio, Evan Greenwood and Jason Sutherland who worked together to create the work.

Collaboration and technology are key themes in The Main Complaint exhibition. This conversation looks at the language of VR, and how collaborative practice and the use of technology can create and accommodate multiple positions and connections.

This discussion will look at the creative process behind the work and how the language of painting was explored and translated in the virtual space. How do the perspectives of programmers differ from the artists in this process?

Please note that RSVP is required for this event. Click here to RSVP. Zeitz MOCAA Members enjoy free admission. Museum admission  applies for non-members.
