Looking for creative ways to keep yourself and your loved ones occupied? Colouring is a great way to keep your mind relaxed but also engaged. It’s why it’s become such a big trend over the last few years!
With that in mind, we’re launching a colouring in initiative with South African born visual artist, Loyiso Mkize. Each week, we’ll be posting an image from Loyiso Mkize’s installation, ‘Exodus: The Heroic Age,’ for you to colour in however you like.
Loyiso Mkize is a South African born visual artist. Before devoting himself to his own company, Loyiso Mkize Art (Pty) Ltd and ï¬ne art full time, Mkize worked as a head illustrator of the popular soccer comic book, Supa Strikas.
In 2019 Mkize created an epic once-off installation called Exodus: The Heroic Age. His artwork featured multiple familiar figures from various African cultures come together to create a hybrid that celebrates past, present, and the speculative possibilities of the future.
Now that you know a little bit more about Mkize, here’s how to get colouring:
You can either print the image or take a screenshot and colour it in on your tablet/ phone or laptop.
And we’d love to see your creations. You can share your designs with us by tagging us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and using the hashtag #LoyisoxMOCAA and we might just feature you on our page!
Click on an image below. The image will open in a new tab, save and then print your image and get colouring! Alternatively, simply save it to your tablet or smartphone and colour in using the device’s native image editing app.
