Ndikhumbule Ngqinambi celebrates the powerful effects of telecommunications on our lives and questions the value of older forms of communication. In nation states where illiteracy rates are high and the rural poor have no access to the internet, radio becomes an important tool for disseminating current affairs and education in different languages. Radiowaves asks us to reflect on the clash between new and outmoded media and how each in their own way construct alternative realities both utopian and dystopian.
