Join us for a conversation with American artist, Frohawk Two Feathers whose work is currently on display at Zeitz MOCAA as part of the ongoing inaugural exhibition, All things being equal…. Two Feathers will be in conversation with Kimberly Jacobs, Wendy Fisher Assistant Curator of Performative Practice (Zeitz MOCAA) to discuss and question the scope of works from his series, The Edge of the Earth isn’t Far from Here (2011).
Through drawing and painting Two Feathers combines fact and fiction to create an imagined history portrayed through renderings of fictional subjects including militiamen, freed slaves, lords, dukes and tribesmen. His work explores overlooked historical narratives, as well as the intersections between ethnicity, gender, and geography on contemporary social and cultural dynamics.
This event is free with museum admission and no RSVP is required. Email kimberly.jacobs@zeitzmocaa.museum for queries.
