“The soul that can lie outside of the body and that flows through all things.”
— Ladislas Segy
Join us for an evening of artmaking, reflection, and conversation inspired by We Proceed in the Footsteps of the Sunlight, the exhibition by Ghanaian-German artist Zohra Opoku at Zeitz MOCAA.
Drawing from Opoku’s poetic and material-led practice, this workshop explores ideas of identity, memory, and belonging in relation to the natural world and self. Participants will work with self-portraiture, collage, printing techniques, and stitchwork to create paper-based works that reflect personal and embodied narratives.
Held in a welcoming and informal setting, this session invites participants to slow down, experiment, and consider how we locate ourselves within the natural environment around us.
The Zeitz MOCAA Adult Artmaking Workshop Programme offers adults a creative experience to strengthen their connection to art and deepen their engagement with the exhibitions on view. Your ticket includes all art materials, canapés, and beverages, including wine generously sponsored by Hazendal Wine Estate. Non-alcoholic options will also be available.
