Date & Time

24 February 24 - 24 February 24

10:15 AM - 12:30 PM

Eastern Cape born, Cape Town based artist Unathi Mkonto, is the current artist-in-residence at the Zeitz MOCAA on level 2 as part of the Atelier residency programme. Mkonto’s artwork combines his interests of art, design, and architecture. His studio residency, ‘TO LET,’ soon to close at the end of February, is a maze of constructions that think about how people interact with “the edge of the city.” Mkonto has created a site for himself and the audience to play, investigate and contemplate.

We invite participants to come play in the February Family Learning Workshop, and construct their own imaginary African city inspired by Mkonto’s practice.

The Zeitz MOCAA’s Family Learning Workshops at the Centre for Art Education (CFAE) enable parents/guardians and their children to share a creative experience and develop their engagement with art, together. Materials and equipment are provided along with a snack break.
