Anele Maweyi was born in South Africa and currently lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa. He is the Front Desk Ticket Assistant at Zeitz MOCAA.
Maweyi’s role at Zeitz MOCAA is to warmly greet the museum’s visitors and to assisting them in purchasing daily tickets and membership cards. His role as the first point of contact for our visitors is pivotal in bridging the gap of the visitor’s knowledge of the museum, its core mission, programming, events and exhibitions. Maweyi is one of three staff that man the front-of-house of Zeitz MOCAA.
Maweyi studied towards a chemical engineering degree from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in (Cape Town, South Africa) and is still in a process of obtaining his National Diploma. Maweyi also holds a customer service certificate (2012).
Previously, he worked for Sun International as a Casino dealer for 2 years, where he dealt casino games for international customers. Maweyi was part the first H&M store in South Africa, situated at the V & A Waterfront, Cape Town, as a cashier and a part-time supervisor.
