How do I purchase a membership?
You can purchase an annual membership (or a daily admission ticket) via Webtickets or at the museum on arrival. When purchasing online, please take the following steps:
- Select the date you wish to start your membership (memberships are valid for 365 days from the selected date of purchase)*
- Choose your Membership option and select the number of memberships you would like to purchase, then click ‘Next’
- Click ‘Ok’ on the pop-up window to confirm your selected start date
- Complete the form with the required membership information then click ‘Proceed’
- Complete the form with the details of your desired payment method and click ‘Buy tickets’.

How much does it cost to get in?
Admission is R210 per adult. Children under 18 receive free entry. Please bring some form of ID for teens.
What are your opening hours?
The museum is open Thursdays to Sundays. Our opening hours are 10am – 6pm with last entry at 5:30 pm.
What is the role of the museum?
The museum is, first and foremost, a platform to showcase the artistic talent of Africa and its Diaspora. It is through this platform that we are able to facilitate and create broader discussions, and access for and representation of all.
