The Museum’s flagship exhibition, When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting currently on show on level 3 of Zeitz MOCAA is a collection of paintings created by Black artists from around the world spanning the past 100 years that explore Black self-representation. Working with the exhibition’s overarching theme of figuration and inspired by the paintings on exhibit depicting the human figure in different positions and poses, in the August Family Learning Workshop participants will be guided through the process of moving from 2D to 3D to create their own figures with paper and plasticine.
The Zeitz MOCAA’s Family Learning Workshops at the Centre for Art Education (CFAE) enable parents/guardians and their children to share a creative experience and develop their engagement with art, together. Materials and equipment are provided along with a snack break.
