August Family Learning Workshop
Let your imagination chime at our August Family Learning Workshop! Inspired by Tuan Andrew Nguyen’s sculptural artwork A Rumble Across the Sky, currently on view in his solo exhibition The Other Side of Now on Level 4 of Zeitz MOCAA, this hands-on session invites parents/guardians and their children to create their own sound-producing mobiles. Nguyen’s work echoes the mobiles by American sculptor Alexander Calder, known as the inventor of the mobile. Like Nguyen’s artwork – made from fragments of old bombshells and designed to move and resonate with healing sound vibrations – your mobile will come to life with movement and sound when caught in the breeze. Bringing together art, sensory play, and creative exploration, this workshop offers a space for wonder, reflection, and joyful creation.
Zeitz MOCAA’s Family Learning Workshops at the BMW Centre for Art Education enable parents/guardians and their children to share a creative experience and develop their engagement with art, together. Materials and equipment are provided along with a snack break.
